The New Orleans Saints made a change to their roster Wednesday prior to their playoff opener against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.

The Saints promoted linebacker Kyle Knox from their practice squad and released safety Eric Frampton.

Knox began the season with the Seattle Seahawks in training camp but was released during final roster cuts. He was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars and appeared in four games before being released in October.

Knox was signed by the Saints to their practice squad later that month and has remained there since until being promoted Wednesday.

Frampton appeared in two games for the Saints making two tackles,

New Orleans signed cornerback Eddie Whitley to their practice squad to replace Knox.
