    And a consistent QB, and a real #1 WR, and another run stopping LB, and another DB, and a guard.

  2. The Niners issues with TEs is well documented and longstanding. Patrick Willis, who is almost certainly going to be the best linebacker in his generation, has always struggled to cover TEs.

    Idk if this is still true, but a few years ago I remember reading a metric that Willis was actually better at covering WRs than TEs. Idk what causes this rare lapse for Willis, but it’s been a thorn in the Niners side for sometime.

    The best TE the Niners could play in the post season is Jimmy Graham, and it took the Niners’ own athletic TE making a heck of a catch in the waning seconds to make up for San Francisco’s inability to cover him last time.
