It was probably impossible for anything the Saints and Eagles did in the first quarter to match the excitement of the fourth quarter in Indianapolis, so they’ve decided to give us all a chance to catch our breath.

There have been four possessions and four punts through eight minutes in Philadelphia as the two teams try to find their footing on offense. The Saints have picked up two first downs and looked for a moment like they might have another when the Eagles moved on a fourth-and-one on the first drive, but quarterback Drew Brees was called for a false start instead.

Brees has opened the game 2-of-5 while Nick Foles is 3-of-5 for the home team. The Eagles have just one first down, though, as the wait for the first points of the nightcap goes on.
