The Redskins have reportedly requested permission to interview a pair of Bengals coaches.

According to Mark Maske of the Washington Post, the Redskins are seeking to interview offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

Both Zimmer and Gruden interviewed for NFL head-coaching positions last offseason.

Gruden, 46, has been the Bengals’ offensive coordinator the last three seasons, while Zimmer, 57, just completed his sixth season leading the Bengals’ defense.

Washington is among five teams seeking new head coaches. Tampa Bay (Lovie Smith) and Houston (Bill O’Brien) have already filled their vacancies.

The Bengals’ season ended Sunday with a wild-card round loss to San Diego.
