Todd Williams, an offensive tackle who played for the Titans from 2003 to 2005, has died at the age of 35.
Williams was found dead in Sarasota, Florida, this morning. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office told the Bradenton Herald that there was no evidence of foul play and an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
A seventh-round pick of the Titans in 2003, Williams played in seven games in his NFL career. At Florida State he was chosen as a recipient of the NCAA Inspiration Award for the way he had overcome a troubled childhood that included time spent sleeping on the streets after the grandmother who raised him died.
Williams had most recently been working as a high school teacher in Bradenton, Florida.
