49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman a candidate at Penn State

Add the name of 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman to the list of candidates to be the next head coach at Penn State.

Roman already interviewed for the Penn State vacancy this week, Bruce Feldman of CBS reports.

Although Roman has never been a head coach at any level, he’s had success as an offensive coordinator both with the 49ers and before that at Stanford. He worked for Jim Harbaugh in both jobs.

The Penn State job became open when Bill O’Brien left to take the head-coaching job with the Texans.
