The Seahawks received minimal return on their investment in Percy Harvin during the regular season. With the playoffs here, they could be getting plenty of bang for their millions of bucks.
Officially, Harvin fully participated in practice on Wednesday. That development comes one day after coach Pete Carroll said that the response of Harvin’s surgically-repaired hip to Tuesday’s practice will be critical to his ability to play -- and less than two weeks after the Seahawks were within a day of placing Harvin on injured reserve.
Before Wednesday’s practice, quarterback Russell Wilson raved about Harvin, who hasn’t played since November 17.
“[H]e looks unbelievable so far,” Wilson said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
Added receiver Golden Tate regarding Harvin: “He’s fast as beep!”
Tate elaborated, without beeps.
“I’m excited to see him play,” Tate said. "[W]e saw a glimpse when he wasn’t even healthy against Minnesota. He’s definitely going to open things up for a lot of us, I think.”
Even if Harvin ultimately is a decoy, the Saints will have to account for him on Saturday, which will help an offense that as times has sputtered.
