The member of “The Legion of Boom” most well-known for bringing the boom on the football field was absent from practice for the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday.

Safety Kam Chancellor was one of just two players held out of practice for the Seahawks on Wednesday. Chancellor missed practice and was listed as dealing with a hip injury on the team’s injury report. Linebacker K.J. Wright isn’t expected to play with as he recovers from a broken bone in his foot.

Chancellor has missed practice and been limited at times over the second half of the season with several minor injury issues. He appeared on the team’s injury report as limited in Week 11 and Week 14 with a hip issue.

Despite the appearances on the injury report, Chancellor has played in every game for the Seahawks this season.Head coach Pete Carroll didn’t mention Chancellor earlier this week when asked about injuries earlier this week.

Chancellor racked up 99 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble for Seattle.

In addition to receiver Percy Harvin fully participating in practice, tight end Luke Willson was also a full participant on Wednesday.

Willson suffered a high-ankle sprain in Seattle’s season finale against the St. Louis Rams. Willson being able to be back to full speed on the practice field just a week-and-a-half after suffering the injury appears to be a strong sign he’ll be able to play Saturday against the New Orleans Saints.
