The two Florida teams in need of a new general manager are both interested in interviewing Giants executive Marc Ross, the similarities of their search lists doesn’t end there.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that both the Buccaneers and the Dolphins have requested permission to interview Titans V.P. of player personnel Lake Dawson. Per Wyatt, Dawson is expected to interview with each team in the coming days.

Dawson has moved through the ranks with the Titans over the last seven years, rising from director of pro scouting to his current position. He’s held that job for two years and interviewed for the Panthers’ G.M. job last year before Carolina hired Dave Gettleman. Dawson has also worked for the Seahawks since ending his playing career.

In addition to Dawson and Ross, Falcons director of pro personnel Lionel Vital is on the Bucs’ list of candidates. They requested an interview with Chiefs director of pro personnel Chris Ballard, but Ballard will be staying in Kansas City. The Dolphins will kick off the interview process on Friday and have also been linked to Eagles V.P. of player personnel Tom Gamble, although reports indicate that no interview has been scheduled at this point.
