It took more than three quarters, but the Saints are on the scoreboard in Saturday’s divisional playoff game in Seattle.

Khiry Robinson’s one-yard TD run off right end gave the Saints their first points of the game with 13:11 left in regulation.

Then, Mark Ingram scored a two-point conversion off the left side, cutting Seattle’s lead to 16-8.

Trailing 16-0 late in the third quarter, the Saints’ passing game finally kicked it into gear, with quarterback Drew Brees connecting with backup tight end Josh Hill on a 23-yard reception and with wideout Marques Colston on a 25-yard catch on back-to-back plays.

Both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter. However, by quarter’s end, the Saints’ offense finally started to resemble the highly regarded attack it has long been.

And then came New Orleans’ hard-earned first points of the game — a game that’s gotten a little more interesting.
