As NFL fans focus on the playoffs in the days ahead, many coaches and evaluators will have their attention on the draft prospects gathered in Mobile, Alabama for the 2014 Senior Bowl.

Players report to Mobile on Saturday, and the vast majority of invitations to the game have been accepted. As of Wednesday, 52 players are listed on the South team roster, with 49 players listed on the North squad.

Five quarterbacks are confirmed for Mobile. Clemson’s Tajh Boyd, Miami’s Stephen Morris and Virginia Tech’s Logan Thomas are the North passers. Meanwhile, the South has just two quarterbacks — Fresno State’s Derek Carr and San Jose State’s David Fales — so there would appear to be room for one more passer on the roster.

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray, who had been invited to the Senior Bowl, is out after suffering an ACL tear in November. Also, Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron has declined to play in the game.

All six quarterbacks who attended the Senior Bowl last winter were drafted in April, including the Bills’ EJ Manuel, the lone passer selected in Round One.
