Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was sick on Wednesday and didn’t make it to practice, but it seems whatever elixirs he took to restore his strength have worked as hoped.
According to multiple reports from New England, Brady is back with the team on Thursday and is expected to participate in practice later in the day. That will mean Ryan Mallett only gets to pretend to be Peyton Manning while working with the scout team offense after playing both Manning and Brady during Wednesday’s session.
If there was any concern that Brady was at risk of missing the AFC Championship Game, his return to work should put it to rest.
Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com also reports that long snapper Danny Aiken is at the facility after also missing Wednesday because of an illness. Aiken and Brady were the only two players to miss practice, so it looks like there should be all hands on deck in New England on Thursday.
