Report: Dolphins interview Dennis Hickey for G.M.

The Buccaneers and Dolphins are both looking for a general manager right now and the latest reported candidate in Miami comes from the Tampa front office.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that Buccaneers director of player personnel Dennis Hickey interviewed for the general manager position on Friday. While there have been several candidates on the radar of both teams during the search process, there haven’t been any reports that Hickey is in the mix to get a promotion in Tampa.

Hickey has been in the Buccaneers organization for the last 18 years, serving as a college scout and director of college scouting before moving into his new role. As a scout, he had a hand in acquiring some of the players that helped the Buccaneers to the only Super Bowl title in the history of the franchise.

Hickey is the seventh person to interview for the G.M. job in Miami with Lions exec Brian Xanders the most recent addition to the list this week.
