Bears cornerback Tim Jennings is headed back to the Pro Bowl.
According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Jennings has been added to the Pro Bowl roster.
For the 29-year-old Jennings, it’s another nice piece of news to start the offseason. The Bears re-signed Jennings for four years on January 2.
In four seasons with Chicago, Jennings has started 58 regular-season games and intercepted 16 passes. He spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with Indianapolis (2006-2009).
Jennings’ first Pro Bowl appearance came last January, when he was selected to the NFC team after intercepting a career-high nine passes.
UPDATE 4:19 p.m. ET: The Bears have confirmed Jennings will be going to the Pro Bowl. He takes the place of Seattle’s Richard Sherman.
