Officially questionable (for now), Moreno says he’ll play

The Broncos have issued their final injury report for the Super Bowl bye week, and one of the team’s key offensive players currently is a 50-50 proposition to play.

Running back Knowshon Moreno has been a limited participant in practice all week, with injured ribs.  He’s listed as questionable, but Moreno has a much higher degree of optimism.

“I feel good,” Moreno told reporters.  “It is what it is.  You have to just stay on top of it.  For a lot of people, not a lot of injuries would keep you out of a game like this.”

Also questionable at this juncture are kicker Matt Prater (illness) and defensive tackle Mitch Unrein (knee).  Defensive tackle Sione Fua is doubtful with a calf injury.

Probable for Super Bowl XLVIII are cornerback Tony Carter (shoulder), tight end Joel Dreessen (knee), tackle Terrance Knighton (knee), guard Chris Kuper (ankle), quarterback Peyton Manning (ankle), and cornerback Kayvon Webster (thumb).

The practice reports will resume on Wednesday, with a final report next Friday attaching the official pre-Super Bowl availability label.
