If healthy, Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin ranks as one of the better free agents at his position.

And Maclin reportedly insists he will be ready for training camp after suffering an ACL tear last July.

“Training camp is no question,” Maclin said Saturday, according to Zach Berman of Philly.com. “OTAs I’ll be able to run around and stuff, probably just without contact. I’m in a very good place at this stage of my rehab.”

Maclin also told Philly.com that he wants to return to Philadelphia.

“I’ve always stated, this is where I want to be,” Maclin said, according to Philly.com. “The Eagles have stated the same thing. We’ll continue to get on the same page with all that and get something done.”

Maclin hauled in 258 passes for 3,453 yards and 26 touchdowns in his first four NFL seasons. He will be 26 in May.

Should Maclin reach free agency, it will be interesting to see what sort of market develops for him. Numerous players have shown an ability to return well from a torn ACL, with Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis a prominent example in 2013.

A first-round pick in 2009, Maclin (6-0, 198) has shown playmaking ability throughout his career, with at least 11 catches of 20 yards or more in all four seasons in which he’s played.
