The Colts have released running back Tashard Choice and waived defensive end Jake McDonough.
The moves were disclosed in the NFL’s Tuesday transactions.
The 29-year-old Choice rushed for a combined 170 yards on 46 carries in stints with Buffalo (12 games) and Indianapolis (three games) in 2013. The Colts signed him on December 9.
Choice (5-10, 210) has rushed for 1,579 yards and 10 TDs on 372 carries in six NFL seasons.
McDonough (6-5, 280) had signed a reserve/future contract with Indianapolis in January after a short time on the club’s practice squad. An Iowa State product, the 24-year-old McDonough entered the NFL with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in May 2013.
