Evaluating the prospects isn’t the only draft business happening in Indianapolis this week.
This morning, the order will be finalized.
Since the Cowboys and Ravens finished with identical 8-8 records and .484 strength of schedule numbers, they’ll flip for the 16th and 17th spot in the draft. That coin toss will happen this morning, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
It’s not call-heads-or-tails situation, as the league has a coin with a team logo on either side, and whichever lands up gets the higher pick.
Such procedures aren’t rare. In 2012, there were a pair of them, with the Dolphins edging the Panthers for the eighth pick, while the Chiefs won the right to the 11th pick over the Seahawks.
