Shad Khan sits in on Jaguars quarterback interviews

The Jaguars are obviously in the market for a quarterback, but they’re casting a wide net in Indianapolis looking for one.

According to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars have already interviewed 10 quarterbacks so far, including the top three prospects — Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles and Teddy Bridgewater.

Since finding a quarterback is more than just another spot on the depth chart to fill, the Jaguars are throwing all their resources at the decision. Even though the interviews at the Scouting Combine are just 15 minutes each, the sessions have included General Manager Dave Caldwell, coach Gus Bradley, offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch and owner Shad Khan.

“Everyone was in there,” Bridgewater said. “It was a great meeting, a lot of energy, a lot of smiles and laughs. I was just able to be myself. That’s the biggest thing, just proving to the coaches who I am as a person.”

Finding the right person to lead their franchise is a key, since the Jaguars have made strides in other areas of the roster.
