Underwear Olympics once again show off Under Armour gear

It’s fitting that the Scouting Combine has become known in some circles as the Underwear Olympics. The underwear worn by the participants is made exclusively by Under Armour.

Dial up the exclusive home of the Winter Games not involving ice or snow, and you’ll see the logo and name of the exclusive apparel provider for the NFL’s annual celebration/competition of its incoming class of players.

While Nike continues to have a hammerlock on the stuff worn by NFL players when playing NFL games, Under Armour takes center stage for several days every February. The company undoubtedly pays the league plenty for the privilege of persuading the rest of us to buy Under Armour gear.

Regardless, it’s a far cry from 1990, when former West Virginia quarterback Major Harris showed up for workouts in jeans and a dress shirt.
