In the same radio interview during which Browns president Alec Scheiner said that the team will introduce new “cutting-edge” uniforms next year, Scheiner made another revelation.

As explained by Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, former CEO Joe Banner has made his final exit earlier than expected. Previously, Banner was due to leave in May.

“He’s transitioned and he’s looking forward to what he does next,” Scheiner told 92.3 The Fan’s Bull & Fox. “In the building, we’re working with our group now.”

In an interview with Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Banner said that he’s not sure what he’ll do next.

“My plan at this point is to take an extended period of time, to step back and reevaluate the time I’ve been in the league and where I am in my life and then make a decision as to whether my future would include the NFL or not,” Banner said.

Banner has plenty of time to make a decision, since he’ll be paid for the balance of his contract with the Browns.
