The Jets are keeping a couple of cornerbacks around, agreeing to terms six days before the start of free agency.

Ellis Lankster and Darrin Walls, both of whom would have become free agents on Tuesday, have re-signed.

Lankster is a key special teams player who was set to become an unrestricted free agent. Last season he played a total of 382 special teams plays, the most on the team, and had 20 tackles in kick coverage.

Walls played in all 16 games last year and started three at cornerback. He would have become a restricted free agent if he hadn’t re-signed.
