The free agent tackle market moved fast yesterday, now there’s another scratch-and-dent on the market.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean, the Titans have released veteran right tackle David Stewart.

He was hampered by injuries last year, and released with a “failed physical” designation. But he had started 116 straight games for the Titans from 2006 through 2013.

His release saves them $6.4 million against the salary cap, which had to have had as much to do with his release as the injuries.
