Bears bring back Israel Idonije

Idonije

The Bears are signing yet another defensive end, one they know well.

Israel Idonije, who played in Chicago from 2004 to 2012, has agreed to return to the Bears. A league source tells PFT that the sides agreed to terms today.

Idonije played last season with the Lions but was used sparingly in Detroit, finishing the season with just seven total tackles and half a sack.

The Bears have now added two free agent defensive ends from the Lions, having previously signed Willie Young. They also signed former Raider Lamarr Houston, who should be the Bears’ top pass rusher this season.
