Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams has been released from the hospital after suffering a stab wound to his leg on Sunday. Police are searching for his brother in connection with the incident.

Police responded to a call to Williams’s home on Sunday to find that Williams had been stabbed in the left thigh with a kitchen knife by his brother, Eric Baylor. According to the Tampa Tribune, police are still searching for Baylor, who is charged with aggravated battery domestic violence.

“We are trying to get in contact with the brother to see exactly what happened,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Cristal Bermudez Nunez told the Tampa ay Times. “Witnesses said they were horsing around, but the brother was not on the scene when we arrived.”

Although Williams is the victim, not the perpetrator, in this case, it adds to the general feeling in Tampa that having Williams around means constantly having to worry about off-field issues arising. Asked what Williams needs to prove to the new regime, Bucs General Manager Jason Licht said, “He has to prove he shouldn’t make headlines off the field. Start with that.”

Williams hasn’t been able to prove that.
