Ray Farmer’s playing hide-and-seek with QB search

The Browns have raised some eyebrows this offseason by not interviewing quarterbacks at the Combine, and not sending coaches to the pro day workouts of high-profile quarterbacks.

General Manager Ray Farmer has been to some, but told Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal he wasn’t going to Johnny Manziel’s, either.

We’re keeping everyone guessing,” Farmer said.

Farmer added that some of the pro days he’s been reported to be in attendance at, he wasn’t (apparently all G.M.s look alike).

The pro day attendance can easily be overblown, especially if the Browns plan on bringing all the quarterbacks to their own facility for pre-draft visits.

They better, as Brian Hoyer provides a limited ceiling for a team that has some good parts and otherwise made strides a year ago.

People have been wondering whether the Browns have a plan at quarterback for years, but this time, keeping the teams drafting around them wondering might offer some advantage.
