The Buccaneers got some good news Monday, which they could use.
Running back Doug Martin just declared himself cleared for action after shoulder surgery.
Martin alluded to the clearance last week, and now that he’s well, the Bucs can start putting all their new parts on offense together in the offseason program.
Between a new quarterback in Josh McCown and several new parts on the offensive line, along with the continued uncertainty about wide receiver Mike Williams, they need something they can count on.
If he can get back to his 2012 form (1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns) while playing for a new coach who will lean on the run, it’ll be a huge step for McCown and the Buccaneers as a whole.
