The Titans might be making more moves sparked by the bottom line soon.

In addition to the pending release of Chris Johnson, the Titans are also looking to save some money on defense.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean, the Titans have asked defensive end Kamerion Wimbley to take a pay cut, which he is considering.

He said earlier this offseason he wanted to stay, probably realizing his contract didn’t match his performance. He’s made $15.5 million for 10.0 sacks the last two years, and is due $6 million this year.

With new defensive coordinator Ray Horton bringing more 3-4 looks, Wimbley stands to benefit if he’s still around. But the Titans obviously want to pay him much less, and he has to weigh how much that’s worth.
