Considering the Chargers’ Round One options

Kansas City Chiefs v San Diego Chargers

Kansas City Chiefs v San Diego Chargers

Stephen Dunn

After earning a playoff spot and winning a wild card game, the Chargers earned the 25th overall pick in next week’s draft. This is the latest San Diego has been slated to select in Round One since 2008, when the club took cornerback Antoine Cason at No. 27.

As we noted in the Chargers’ draft needs, cornerback could be a position the Chargers look to bolster in Round One, with outside linebacker another area that could be addressed at some point. The Chargers allowed more yards per play than any other AFC team a season ago, so adding more defensive playmaking ability is a must.

On the other hand, the Chargers do have some needs on offense, too, with the offensive line one area of note.

When the Chargers are on the clock with their first pick next week, what side of the ball should they address? Tell us in the comments and cast your votes.
