A new name has been added to the list of players who’ll be attending the draft on Thursday -- and maybe Friday.
Per multiple reports, USC center Marcus Martin will head to Radio City Music Hall. Via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Florida State defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan has decided not to rescind his intention to attend.
Buzz has been building for Martin to make it to the bottom of round one, possibly as the choice of the Saints.
Here’s the initial list announced by the league. They’re all still in, except for Jernigan.
With 30 guys attending the draft, it’s probable if not likely that one or more won’t be taken on Thursday night, requiring a return visit on Friday. Last year, the highest-profile player to return for Day Two was Geno Smith. The Jets eventually selected him in round two.
