Hundreds of players will be taking their first steps into professional football over the next three days, but some more seasoned players are also looking to find a home for the 2014 season as well.

Defensive end Andre Carter is such a player and Seattle may be a possible landing spot. Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that Carter visited with the Seahawks earlier this week.

Carter had two sacks in nine games with the Patriots last season and 2.5 sacks for the Raiders in 2011. He played a rotational pass-rushing role in both places, something that would also be the case if he won a job with the Seahawks.

The Seahawks could add some players with the potential to help their pass rush in the draft, which might negate any interest they have in adding Carter to the mix. Competition has been a keyword since Pete Carroll and John Schneider came to the team, though, so multiple additions aren’t out of the question.
