The Browns, who have received some unwanted news about star wide receiver Josh Gordon, went for an offensive lineman with their second-round pick, drafting Nevada’s Joel Bitonio No. 35 on Friday evening.
Bitonio (6-4, 302) could push to start at guard or at right tackle. He was a three-season starter for the Wolfpack.
The Browns’ next pick is slated to be in Round Three (No. 71 overall). Now, the focus turns to whether they add a wideout to a receiving corps that reportedly could be without Gordon, who reportedly faces a potential NFL suspension for a positive marijuana test, according to ESPN.
