Eagles’ 15 undrafted free agents include guy nicknamed “Murderleg”

Spear

The Eagles have announced their 15-man class of undrafted free agents, and one of them has a great nickname.

Vanderbilt kicker Casey Spear was dubbed Murderleg by folks in Tennessee. According to Sheil Kapadia of PhilyMag.com, Spear likes to launch himself at opponents on kickoff coverage.

In that case, his real name may be even more appropriate than his nickname.

Also added by the Eagles were Oregon State guard Josh Andrews, Cincinnati tight end Blake Annen, Morgan State guard Karim Barton, LSU receiver Kardon Boone, Florida tight end Trey Burton, Toledo running back David Fluellen, Alabama cornerback John Fulton, USC tackle Kevin Graf, Texas guard Donald Hawkins, Missouri running back Henry Josey, Oregon defensive tackle Wade Keliikipi, Oklahoma State safety Daytawion Lowe, Florida A&M defensive end Frank Mays, and Rutgers receiver Quron Pratt.
