After not being drafted by the Seahawks, Adam Muema’s done

Muema

Adam Muema’s dream did not come true, so he’s going to look for a new one.

The former San Diego State running back, who left the Scouting Combine under mysterious circumstances and said he had a vision of being drafted by the Seahawks is apparently now finished with football.

Muema told Joe Schad of ESPN that he was done with football, and hopes to pursue a future in either boxing or ultimate fighting.

“I don’t like being a slave to money or coaches,” Muema said. “I prefer an individual sport.”

Muema also skipped his pro day workout after ditching the combine, which probably effectively crossed him off the Seahawks’ and most other draft boards.

Those close to him are worried about his behavior, which seems a reasonable fear. If he doesn’t want to play football, fine, plenty of people do. But this just doesn’t sound like a script with a happy ending.
