Let all those among us who haven’t been tasered after a drunken scooter chase in Iowa cast the first stone at Tyler Sash.
According to reports collected by the New York Daily News, the former Giants safety had a wild ride last weekend, and was arrested on charges of public intoxication and interference with official acts.
That’s a fairly boring way of describing what happened in Oskaloosa, Iowa on Friday night/Saturday morning.
(This is starting to sound like a Johnny Cash song.)
Sash was reportedly riding a scooter with its lights off down a major road. He refused orders to stop, led the cops on a four-block chase before jumping off the scooter and running through the woods. They found him behind a tree (amazing that that bit of camouflage didn’t work), but when he didn’t come out, they shot him with the stun gun and dragged him to the Mahaska County Jail.
He declined a field sobriety test (as if that’s necessary after a lights-out scooter chase in Iowa), but police noted the smell of alcohol and bloodshot eyes.
Sash was cut after training camp last season, but was suspended four games in 2012 for violating the league’s PED policy, blaming Adderall.
