Five of the nine selections made by the Dallas Cowboys in last week’s NFL Draft came in the seventh round.

The Cowboys have now managed to get three of those five seventh-round picks under contract.

The team announced Thursday they have signed Stanford defensive end Ben Gardner, Texas Tech linebacker Will Smith and Oregon cornerback Terrance Mitchell to contracts. Per league rules, the contracts are four-year deals.

The trio of players are the first of Dallas’ draft class to sign with the team.

The Cowboys rookie mini-camp begins Friday and runs through the weekend.
