Ex-Chiefs fullback Braden Wilson, a 2013 sixth-round pick of Kansas City, is among 24 players who will participate in the Falcons’ weekend rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, the club said Thursday.

Wilson is one of four players who spent time with NFL clubs a season ago who will take part in the May 16-18 workouts in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Running back George Winn, who had stints with Houston and New England leading up to the 2013 season, will also try out, as will nose tackle Byron Jerideau (ex-San Diego) and offensive tackle Roderick Tomlin (ex-Jacksonville).

In addition to the veterans, 20 rookies will try out for the Falcons: Georgia State defensive end Theo Agnew, Wisconsin outside linebacker Ethan Armstrong, Ohio State kicker Drew Basil, Kansas wide receiver Josh Ford, Delaware offensive guard Brandon Heath, Auburn inside linebacker Jake Holland, Purdue defensive end Ryan Isaac, Fresno State cornerback L.J. Jones, Florida offensive tackle Kyle Koehne, Georgia offensive guard Dallas Lee, Central Arkansas safety Jestin Love, Ohio State long-snapper George Makridis, Vanderbilt safety Javon Marshall, Monmouth (N.J.) tight end Mike McLafferty, Catawba (N.C.) quarterback Danny O’Brien, Miles College (Ala.) wide receiver Lonnie Outlaw, Southern Illinois outside linebacker Bryan Presume, Henderson State outside linebacker Keaton Stigger, Tennessee-Chattanooga cornerback Kadeem Wise and West Georgia center William Wright.
