The Jets will have 37 tryout players taking part in their rookie minicamp, the club said on its website Friday.

Twenty-one players have previous NFL experience of some kind, including quarterback B.J. Coleman, a 2012 seventh-round pick of the Packers. Coleman was one of the competitors for the Packers’ backup quarterback job a season ago, but he was waived before Week One.

The Jets are also trying out safety Ahmad Black, a 2011 fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers who has appeared in 20 regular season games (three starts). Another notable veteran invitee is safety Christian Thompson, whom the Ravens selected in the fourth round in 2012.

The Jets’ rookie minicamp will run through Sunday.
