The Falcons have completed deals with more than half of their draft class.

The announced the signings of five picks on Sunday: Notre Dame linebacker Prince Shembo (fourth round), Purdue cornerback Ricardo Allen (fifth round), Syracuse linebacker Marquis Spruill (fifth round), Connecticut linebacker Yawin Smallwood (seventh round) and South Dakota linebacker Tyler Starr (seventh round).

Shembo, Allen, Spruill, Smallwood and Starr are among the seven drafted rookies added to an Atlanta defense that allowed the fourth-most yards per play a season ago.

The Falcons’ unsigned draft picks are Texas A&M offensive tackle Jake Matthews (first round), Minnesota defensive lineman Ra’Shede Hageman (second round), Wisconsin safety Dezmen Southward (third round) and running back Devonta Freeman (fourth round).
