Three former players who also have coaching or front office experience have been appointed to jobs with the league office, the NFL announced today.
Jimmy Raye II, Mike Reinfeldt and Mike Singletary will all serve as senior advisors to Troy Vincent, the executive vice president of football operations. They’ll serve as liaisons to NFL coaches and front office personnel and have duties related to the development of players and coaches.
Raye spent 36 years as a player and coach in the NFL. Reinfeldt was a Pro Bowl safety for the Houston Oilers and Oakland Raiders and later an executive for the Raiders, Packers, Seahawks and Titans. Singletary was a Hall of Fame linebacker for the Bears and a head coach of the 49ers.
Vincent said in a statement that the three players “bring sound wisdom, football experience and insight that helps us support our clubs and coaches as well as grow and develop our players and game.”
