The Seahawks now have both of their second-round picks under contract.
Offensive tackle Justin Britt announced Thursday he had signed his rookie deal with Seattle, posting a picture on Twitter of him signing the document. He was the final selection of Round Two (No. 64 overall).
The 6-foot-6, 325-pound Britt started 36 games at Missouri, earning second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors as a senior in 2013. He made 30 starts at left tackle for the Tigers.
After Britt was selected, Seahawks offensive line coach Tom Cable indicated the rookie lineman would vie for a role at right tackle.
“He’s an ornery, nasty guy that plays the game the right way,” Cable said of Britt, according to Seahawks.com.
The Seahawks reached a contract agreement with wide receiver Paul Richardson, their other second-round pick, on Tuesday. The club now has struck deals with 6-of-9 draft picks.
