The Redskins had to wait longer than most teams to actually draft someone this year, but they’re wasting no time signing them.
The team announced they had signed their top pick, outside linebacker Trent Murphy, to his four-year rookie contract.
That leaves third-rounder Morgan Moses as their last unsigned pick, as they’ve made quick work of the easy deals.
Murphy, a tough pass-rusher from Stanford, led the nation with 15.0 sacks last season. He gives them solid depth behind Ryan Kerrigan and franchised Brian Orakpo, and should see plenty of time this year.
