The 49ers are almost all done with draft pick signings.
Wide receiver Bruce Ellington, whom the club selected in Round Four less than three weeks ago, is the latest rookie to sign with San Francisco, the club said Tuesday.
The 5-foot-9, 197-pound Ellington caught 49 passes for 775 yards and eight touchdowns for South Carolina in 2013. In San Francisco, Ellington will try to carve out a role in a WR corps laden with veteran talent, with Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree and Stevie Johnson the club’s top three options at the position.
The 49ers have now reached deals with 11 drafted rookies. Only third-round pick Marcus Martin, a center from USC, remains unsigned.
