Wide receiver Kenny Britt’s 2013 season in Tennessee was spent pretty much waiting out the clock on the final year of his contract as the Titans had no place for him on the field nor any desire to bring him back in 2014 after years of injuries, mediocre performance and off-field issues.

Britt landed in St. Louis as a free agent and he says he’s feeling good both physically and mentally after reaching the end of the road in Nashville. Britt said he’s feeling healthy and likes the way the Rams are planning on utilizing him as he tries to restart the clock on a once-promising career.

“My mind’s free,” Britt said, via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “I’m relaxed right now. I’m taking this year as a rookie year -- just like I’m coming into the league. That’s my mindset right now. Starting from scratch.”

Britt wouldn’t talk about the sexually explicit video that landed on his Instagram account recently, talking instead about being grateful for the way coach Jeff Fisher has supported him and that he only wants to discuss the team getting better. Britt’s role in making the team better is unclear given how little he showed in 2013, but there could be opportunities for him to contribute with Stedman Bailey facing a suspension to start the season.
