The Buccaneers, who begin their mandatory minicamp practices Tuesday, will have six players try out this week, including wide receiver David Gettis and defensive tackle Ronald Talley, the club said on its website.
As a rookie in 2010, Gettis caught 37 passes for 508 yards and three TDs for Carolina. However, he missed the 2011 season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament. The 26-year-old Gettis appeared in two games for Carolina in 2012, then was waived-injured by the club before the start of the 2013 regular season.
Gettis (6-3, 210) was most recently with Washington, which released him in May. He was a sixth-round pick of the Panthers out of Baylor in 2010.
The 6-foot-3, 286-pound Talley has played 15 regular season games, all with Arizona (2011-2013). The 28-year-old Talley played collegiately at Delaware.
Safety Anthony Dye (UCLA), cornerback Kip Edwards (Missouri), linebacker T.J. Fatinikun (Toledo) and punter Kirby Van Der Kamp (Iowa State) will also try out for Tampa Bay this week.
