The Colts have lost one of their veteran defensive linemen to a season-ending injury.
The club has placed defensive end Fili Moala on injured reserve, the team said Wednesday. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Moala suffered a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee after a collision in organized team activities.
The 28-year-old Moala played 16 regular season games for Indianapolis in 2013, notching 19 tackles. He suffered a right ACL tear in 2012.
To replace Moala on the roster, the Colts signed rookie defensive end Gannon Conway, an Arizona State product who had a brief stint with the Dolphins in May.
