The Broncos defense has gotten defensive end Derek Wolfe and safety Rahim Moore back on the field after their season-ending injuries in 2013, but defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson hasn’t been able to join them.

Vickerson dislocated his hip during a November game in New England and remains without a firm idea of when he’ll be able to resume football activities. Vickerson has been able to start running, but his prognosis for the start of training camp on July 24 remains cloudy.

“The timetable now is really trying to push toward training camp, a little bit further than that. But there’s no definite timetable set in stone yet,” Vickerson said, via the Associated Press.

The Broncos have Terrance Knighton, Sylvester Williams and Mitch Unrein back at defensive tackle from last year. There’s likely room for a healthy Vickerson in a rotation with those players as long as he proves his hip is sound enough for duty.
