Defensive end Ronald Talley took part in Buccaneers minicamp this week on a tryout basis and it went well enough for Talley to earn an invitation to join the team at training camp.

The Bucs announced that they have signed Talley after seeing his work in practices this week. Talley played 15 games for the Cardinals over the last three years, recording 14 tackles and a sack in Arizona.

Tampa has Michael Johnson and Adrian Clayborn as their starting defensive ends, but the team’s website suggests that the depth chart is “somewhat open to interpretation after that.” Talley will be working to show the team that he fits somewhere on the list while he competes with Da’Quan Bowers, William Gholston and Steven Means for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Tampa also announced that they have released wide receiver Aaron Burks and defensive tackle Everett Dawkins.
