Two more teams have agreed to join the trend of having joint training camp practices this summer.

The Oakland Raiders announced Tuesday they will have joint practices with the Dallas Cowboys in Oxnard, Calif. in August. The practices are scheduled for Tuesday, August 12 and Wednesday, August 13. With the Raiders training camp located in Napa, Calif.,

The Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers have also scheduled joint practices for this summer, as have the Houston Texans with the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons, the New England Patriots with the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles, and the San Francisco 49ers with the Baltimore Ravens.

During the middle of training camps when players are tiring of running into the same players day after day, a break in the routine to line up against another uniform can be a welcome change of pace.

Tom Brady suffered a knee sprain last year when he was run into during a joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by defensive end Adrian Clayborn. Brady was ultimately fine with just a mild knee sprain and the minor injury apparently hasn’t dissuaded the Patriots from scheduling more joint practices this year.

It will be the first time the Raiders have held joint practices since 2008 and 2009 with the San Francisco 49ers.
