C.J. Spiller has plenty of optimism as 2014 approaches

Spiller

When we open the floor for questions on PFT Live, at least one per week deals with the prospects of the Bills for 2014 generally and the chances of rookie receiver Sammy Watkins making a big impact as a rookie specifically.

Bills running back C.J. Spiller provided glowing (predictable, but glowing nonetheless) assessments on both counts during a Tuesday visit to PFT Live.

Spiller sees the team improving offensively, with quarterback EJ Manuel developing and Watkins showing great potential and the team in position to make a run at the postseason.

It won’t be easy. Every other team in the AFC East was .500 or better in 2013.

Spiller addressed various other topics, including his desire to stay in Buffalo after his contract expires in March, reports that receiver Mike Williams has struggled in OTAs, the impact of the departure of receiver Stevie Johnson, and the absence of any distraction to the team resulting from the recent arrests of defensive lineman Marcell Dareus and the lingering uncertainty about the looming change in team ownership.
